A strategy game with a new kind of enemy, Calyx puts you in charge of a space mining outpost, locked in battle with an overwhelming alien organism. Build your base, gather resources, assemble your forces, and take on the Calyx.

A combination RTS and base builder with a brand new kind of enemy. Boss-like and ever evolving, the Calyx is a powerful plant-alien that, left unchecked, quickly spreads to control swathes of the map. The only remaining occupant of an Avaris Corporation deep-space mining vessel, you've arrived in orbit around a barren-looking planet. While you're trying to get over being frozen for more than a century, you're dropped to the surface as the ship's AI outlines your Ore mining targets.

Build a power network, and set up Ore mines to gain Credits. Deploy a mix of defences and mobile units to stabilise the area and advance on the Calyx. Build walls and turrets to protect your base. Manufacture Scouts and Tanks to begin reconnaissance and provide additional cover as the Calyx gets stronger. Balance your base's energy requirements carefully to avoid vital defences being down on power. Unlock new technologies to improve mining yields, increase power output, and build more powerful units.

Establish strong defences, or attack the Calyx before it spreads too far? Dig in and build a massive force, or adopt a mobile and nimble strategy? There are many ways to defeat the Calyx. Experiment and develop your styles of play, and learn to cope with different scenarios. You can start anywhere on the map.
