Hanafuda no Tora is a roguelike deck-building game based on traditional Japanese hanafuda cards—supercharged with explosive damage, strategic upgrades, and bold risk-reward choices.

Build your deck as you climb through increasingly difficult battles. Your damage is determined by the yaku (card combinations) you form using hanafuda rules. Once you complete a yaku, choose to either Shobu (deal damage) or Koi-Koi (continue to stack more points). The longer you risk it with Koi-Koi, the higher your Jackpot System multiplier grows—but if the enemy strikes first, that multiplier works against you.

Customize your strategy in the shop by upgrading your cards—boosting their point values, adding special symbols like the moon or deer to cards, which makes forming yaku easier. With enough upgrades, a single card can even complete the "Boar-Deer-Butterfly" combo by having all three symbols on it. You can also enhance yaku levels to increase damage further.

Collect powerful animal cards with passive effects that multiply damage or increase rewards. Combining these effects lets you create a unique build capable of defeating even the strongest foes.
