The Walls Have Ears is an Interactive Diorama created by six game developers during Summer Jam, a company event that took place at Ubisoft Reflections/Leamington in August 2022.
The theme for Summer Jam 2022 was 'Building Blocks'. This was what sparked the initial idea for The Walls Have Ears, an experience where Walls - the main Building Blocks of this world - do not simply form the environmental background for the experience, but are in themselves 'possessable' objects from whose perspective players experience the unfolding story.
There is no specific 'end goal' to this Interactive Diorama experience - players can pick it up and enjoy it at their own pace, eavesdropping on the conversations taking place at different moments in time inside a fictional office building.
The Walls Have Ears takes place in the Liminal Logistics Division of Amalgamated Blocks InCorporated (A.B.C.), a company responsible for the creation and distribution of blocks. Blocks of what? Wood? Cheese? Stock? Shares? No one knows, no one has ever known. And honestly, smart people don't ask. Just try reading the manual, buddy, you'll regret it.
