Mascot Design Competition

{ Winning Design }

The Mascot Design Competition has closed. There were many great submissions which and after a long and careful consideration between all the works, the GDWC team decided on the the Winner: JOOY by JJ Shaw

The artist describes their design and process:
"The mascot is inspired by the shape of the joystick of the game, and a cool head is designed according to the shape of the joystick. Use human figures to express competition and simple lines with blue borders to present a sense of technology."

GDWC would like to thank all Mascot Design Competition participants for their great work and urges all of you to keep creating. You will see Jooy more in the future, especially once GDWC 2022 launches.

what is the

{ Mascot Design Competition }

GDWC is looking for a Mascot that encapsulates both the fun of playing and making games, and we want YOUR help in creating this Mascot!

We gave it a go ourselves with MS Paint, and as you can see from the results above, it didn't go that well. So our staff is now banned from using MS Paint and we're reaching out to you for help with this competition. The prize for the chosen winner is 1,000€!

What do you think the mascot should be like? We’d want it to be friendly and funny, and to be connected to gaming and game development. It can be 2D, 3D, 2.5D, or 4D if you want. Let your ideas flow free!

The Mascot Design Competition is open from October 20th 2021 to November 28th 2021 23:59 / 11:59 PM Finnish time.
Check out the competition Rules here. Free GDWC account is required to participate. Enrollment is done from GDWC Dashboard.

Rewards

Our favorite design will be rewarded with a cash prize of 1000 euros!

Up to 10 additional smaller cash prizes between 100 and 500 euros may be given out for exceptional ideas and works, depending on the amount and quality of works submitted.

  • Valco ANC Headphones to Winning Team (2 pairs)
  • Houdini Indie one year license to each of the top 3 teams!
