I'm excited to share with you our new game concept, "Calorie Defenders". In this game, players get to explore the human body like never before, as one of three main characters, each with their unique weapons and abilities. As players journey through the various organs and systems, they must utilize a variety of traps and navigate through obstacles while battling enemies. But that's not all, they will also encounter temples that will transport them into exciting tower defense missions where they must defend the body's Hunger from waves of invading candy. Completing these missions will earn players the confidence they need to unlock the game's ultimate challenge: the candy corrupted dungeon. In this corrupted area of the body, players must rescue a Titan who will help them unlock a new ability and advance to the next area. With its combination of action platforming, tower defense, and dungeon exploration, "Calorie Defenders" promises to offer players a truly unique and exciting gaming experience.

Calorie Defenders draws inspiration from several game series, such as Orcs Must Die and Dungeon Defenders, combining third-person shooter mechanics with tower defense, and Metroidvania games like Hollow Knight, providing exploration aspects for players. The design also takes inspiration from Nintendo's Mario Kart series, known for its accessibility to casual and hardcore gamers. Calorie Defenders aims to provide a fun and engaging experience for all types of players, with colorful visuals, strategic gameplay, and local split-screen co-op mode, while paying homage to its inspirations. As someone who grew up playing games on the original NES, some of my fondest memories involve playing games with friends.
